I Guess I’ve Joined the Woke Folk . . .

which makes me trans-slender.

Next to our booth today
a couple of females were chatting.
One announced she just had a pregnancy test, and
her companion asked if the questions were hard.

I Told the Guys at the Table . . .
. . . that I saw a coyote on the way to the store
and one of them asked me
how I knew it was going to the store.
Has It Occurred to You . . .
. . . that beer
is cheaper than gas so,
drink, don’t drive.
As Inflation Spirals Out of Sight. . .
. . . people have begun dieting,
not to lose weight
but to cut down on expenses.
Most New Books . . .
. . . are forgotten within a year,
especially by the people who borrowed them.
Scientists and Sociologists . . .
. . . are predicting that technical advances —
think drones and robots —
and the increasing demand for more free time
will result in us working as little as two hours a day.
A big question still to resolved is
whether that will be before or after our coffee break.
What Happened to the Worst Boss . . .
. . .you ever had?
was a question I asked at my most recent Flashbacks session.
Everyone had a story to tell and was eager to share it.
I didn’t elaborate on my contribution but just pointed out that
my two worst bosses were at the same place at the same time
and both died ugly deaths.

the three messages I saw yesterday morning
about people being led somewhere?
A Golden-Aged, Silver-Haired Couple . . .
. . . who met and linked up here decided to wed.
When I suggested that getting married at their age could cost both of them a lot of money, the gent smiled and said not to worry because his nephew was a clergyman and would marry them for nothing.
