is to have no expectations,
which makes everything a surprise —
sometimes good, sometimes not so good.

. . . you spend your time
planning, preparing and making lists,
there’s no time left to enjoy anything.
Have You Noticed . . .
. . . that when someone tells you,
“We need to talk,”
they really mean
they want you to listen.
It’s A Good Thing . . .
. . . mirrors can’t talk
as they reflect the world around us,
but
we’re extremely fortunate
they can’t laugh either.

It’s tough enough
